Flux 3 web design software adds rich HTML5, WebKit support
The Escapers has released a major update to its web design software, Flux 3. The design application is HTML5 based and offers Web 2.0 and AJAX. Users can drag and drop to create websites in the WYSIWYG editor -- XHTML and CSS is supported, but not required by Flux for building sites. Java actions and QuickTime and Flash embeds are also supported and editing can be done fully through FTP or SFTP....

Scheme sees PayPal accounts drained via iTunes charges
Some people are finding their PayPal accounts emptied of hundreds or thousands of dollars because of fraudulent iTunes purchases, reports reveal. One person complains of having been charged over $4,700, in a bill linked to almost 50 PayPal receipts worth $99.99 each. A more conventional example is a San Francisco woman, who was billed $650. By catching and reporting the problem early, it should be possible to get Apple or PayPal to reverse unwanted transactions....

In an effort to preserve the biodiversity of Hawaiian coral species, scientists at the University of Hawaii have created the first frozen coral cell bank — similar in concept to a seed bank for plants. "Because frozen banked cells are viable, the frozen material can be thawed in one, 50 or, in theory, even 1,000 years from now to restore a species or population," said one of the scientists working on the project.
